The typical monthly commitment for each role ranges from three to five hours.
The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board and of the organization. In the absence of the President, the President-Elect is entitled to preside at the meetings of the Board or of the organization. The President shall sign any instruments or documents which may lawfully be executed on behalf of the Board.
The President-Elect shall assist the President, assume the duties of the President in his/her absence, be responsible for the Bylaws of the organization, and shall perform such duties and have such authority as from time to time may be assigned by the President or the Board.
The Immediate Past President is a non-voting board position responsible for assisting the President in transition and serving in an advisory role. He/she will chair the Nomination and Election Committee. This position does not have a vote and shall not be included in the term limit calculation.
The Secretary-Treasurer shall keep the minutes of the Chapter’s Board of Directors meetings; see that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of these Bylaws or as required by law; submit all annual financial statements, audits, and reports to the Board of Directors; and in general perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary-Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board of Directors.
The Director of Communications, Programs, and Events shall be responsible for marketing and public relations of all programs to the members and community-at-large; coordinating with the virtual assistant to produce a monthly newsletter, email blasts, website updates, and social media platforms; researching, booking, and communicating with guest speakers for meetings based on topics that satisfy ICF guidelines related to developing coaching competencies or other topics deemed by the Board to be in the interests of Members; and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board of Directors.
The Director of Membership shall be responsible for welcoming new members and affiliate members to the chapter and providing them with information on the Chapter; managing membership expiry relating to status with the Chapter, and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board of Directors.
The Director of External Relations is responsible for developing and implementing an external relations strategy to engage the media, potential partners, and other groups that have aligned interests in promoting the Chapter, its goals, events, and programs; generating and managing advertising and sponsorship revenue streams, and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board of Directors.
The At-Large Board member represents the general membership on issues of interest or concern, particularly those that arise outside of the standing committee structure.
